Join us for a creative journey through the world of photography at the Port Charlotte Public Library! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, our classes and events offer something for everyone.

Photography Classes:

• Beginner Photography: Learn the fundamentals of photography, including camera settings, composition, and lighting techniques. Perfect for those new to photography.

• Intermediate/Advanced Photography: Take your skills to the next level by exploring advanced topics like manual mode, portrait photography, and landscape photography.
   

Photography Events:

• Photo Walks: Join fellow photography enthusiasts for a guided photo walk around our community. Capture the beauty of local landmarks, parks, and architecture.

• Themed Annual Photo Contest: Participate in our annual themed photo contest and showcase your work. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and impactful photos.

• Guest Speakers: Attend presentations from professional photographers, as well as accomplished photographers in the community.

Upcoming Schedule: (We meet in person on the first and third Fridays of the month)*

• April 3 - Hands on photo lab - Working with various types of light and subjects. Members bring in subjects and various light sources if they have some.

• April 17 - Presentation by Scott Sorenson on Yellowstone Park

• May 1 - Class on why and how to share your photography (Handout provided)

• May 15 - "Lenses - How Your Camera Views the World" Presentation (Handout provided)
